Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced a rebrand of her long-dormant campaign account Thursday after teasing a mystery announcement the day before.
Her “KamalaHQ” account on X, which went silent after her loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, was renamed “headquarters_67” as Harris discussed the update in a video message early Thursday morning.
“It’s where you can go online to get basically the latest of what’s going on and also to meet and revisit with some of our great, courageous leaders,” she said in the clip. “I’m really excited about it, so stay engaged, and I’ll see you out there.”
Harris, dressed in a purple suit — the same color she wore at her 2020 inauguration and the 2024 Democratic National Convention — said the account will now be a place to check in with “elected leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, faith leaders, young leaders.”
The day before, Harris cryptically previewed a Thursday announcement via her X and Instagram accounts.
In the Wednesday post, a screen recording shows her campaign logging into its social media accounts, entering various incorrect passwords for “KamalaHQ,” including “waytooonline,” “thebabysitterisweird,” and “project2025wasreal,” before successfully logging in with “headquarters.”
The video was posted on both X and Instagram and ended with a black screen displaying the word “Tomorrow.” Both the accounts have followings of over 1 million.
After losing the election to Trump in November 2024, Harris’ campaign accounts went largely silent, with their last post dated Nov. 5, 2024. The post featured Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, with the caption: “From all of us at Kamala HQ: Thank you for following along 💙.”
As of Thursday morning, the Instagram handle remained unchanged while the X account has been rebranded.
Since conceding the election, Harris has mostly focused on promoting her book, “107 Days,” a memoir about her short-lived presidential campaign. She has been on tour and has made several public appearances and political statements, including remarks related to ICE activity.
In June 2025, Harris ruled out a run for governor of her home state of California, where she now resides in an $8.15 million home in Malibu with her husband, Doug Emhoff.
The 4,000-square-foot Point Dume property is located in a neighborhood known as a who’s who of Hollywood — and more recently, Silicon Valley power players — as first reported by the The Post.
