You might’ve noticed on Dern’s dress that there’s a bow detail under the bust. We love this seemingly small feature for a couple of reasons. Mainly, it draws the eye, is flattering because it conceals the midsection a bit and makes the top half of the dress more exciting. So, you could imagine how thrilled we were that the Amazon find also has a bow, so we could really copy the actress’s look.
Like Dern’s dress, the affordable version has a midi length and sleeveless, halter-style silhouette. It also has a dramatic V-neck, yet still provides coverage. The bow is situated right under the bust, too, which is a fun touch to an otherwise simple look.
One thing that the Amazon dress has that Dern’s doesn’t is a corset-looking front. Right under the bow, this dress appears to have ribbing to accentuate the waist. Don’t let that scare you, though, because the back has elastic for all-day comfort. Plus, the skirt flows out into an A-line, so it won’t stick to the skin on those unbearably hot days.
You can’t go wrong with white in the summer months, and you can nail Dern’s look with the hue. However, the Parthea pick also comes in black and light blue shades. Of course, when you think white dress, you might think bridal. But Dern proved that it can be for any occasion to bring a crisp, fresh vibe to your outfit.
