New luxury apartments are planned a stone’s throw from the future Olympic stadium site at Victoria Park.
The 15-storey tower at 290 Water Street in Fortitude Valley will have 132 one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
It would include a pool, spa, gym, sauna, infrared sauna, yoga area, outdoor barbeque area, private dining space and library.
Retail and food and beverage outlets are planned on the ground floor.
Artist impressions show large balconies at each end, and an underground car park.
The address is just more than 400 metres from Victoria Park, where the new stadium for the 2032 Olympic Games will be built.
Developer Keylin lodged its plans with Brisbane City Council on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the company said they did not know how much the tower would cost to build, or the price of apartments when they go on sale.
“[We’re the] long-term owner of the site, and it has always been our intention to deliver a mixed-use project,” managing director Louis Cheung said in a statement.
“Its proximity to the Brisbane CBD, the upgraded Exhibition train station and key precincts for the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics will continue to drive investment and demand.”
