When March 20th finally rolls around, and spring has officially sprung, it’s “sayonara” to anything bulky in our closets and “hello” to everything easy-breezy. We still have a few weeks of winter to get through, unfortunately, but Nordstrom’s latest markdowns include spring dresses in vibrant colors and gorgeous floral designs. The options are so good we’re shopping for plans we haven’t even made yet (and you should, too).

Nothing spikes our dopamine quite like a Nordstrom sale ahead of a new season, and after this dismally gray, blizzard-ridden winter, who couldn’t use a bit of retail therapy to boost their spirits? The discounts are live in-store and online now, and inventory is selling out fast. Whether you have social events you’re looking forward to, or your collection could use a refresh, the following 15 spring dresses are heavily marked down (with price points starting as low as $40) and come highly recommended by Us.

15 Spring Dresses on Sale at Nordstrom Right Now

1. Our Favorite: This floral spring dress is actually groundbreaking. Constructed with smooth darts for a tailored look, flowy bell-sleeves for a 70s nod, and a bold flower design that’s chic, not cliche, this minidress is a statement piece you’ll want in your closet for social events — was $130, now $87

2. Runner-up: What’s black and white and fabulous all over? This mixed-print dress from Zoe and Claire that’s eye-catching, easy to throw on, and calls for minimal jewelry, making styling a non-issue — was $88, now $40

3. Best Transition: Spring may be in sight, but you’ll likely be dealing with at least some lingering winter conditions through mid-April. This long-sleeve minidress is suitable for either season’s forecast thanks to its mock neck (providing warmth when necessary) and short hemline (to enjoy a pleasant breeze) — was $119, now $54

4. Not-So-Basic: T-shirt dresses are staples for spring and summer because you can throw them on and get out of the house with minimal fuss. This elevated version from English Factory features puff sleeves and a contrasting drop-waist hem; it can be dressed up or donned casually, depending on your accessories — was $60, now $42

5. Idyllic Denim: Another one-and-done dress to add to your rotation is this tiered chambray dress with a smocked bodice and square neck. Look casual with a pair of sneakers and a canvas tote bag, or dress it up with peep-toe sandals, layered necklaces and stacked bracelets — was $86, now $34

6. Dot, Dot: Polka dots are peppering our social feeds, and if you want in on the budding trend, we highly recommend this stunning drop-waist maxi dress that comes in midnight blue and is covered in white spots — was $248, now $74

7. French Girl: Anything Parisian is always in style, but we especially love this mod minidress whose pronounced point collar is serving French fashion circa the 1960s — was $148, now $67

8. Wearable Art: We love clothing designs that look like they should be hung up in a museum, and think the rich mocha floral arrangement of the Abigail Placed Print Minidress by Adelyn Rae could and should be framed — was $123, now $82

9. Pop of Pink: While pastels are generally the most popular tints in a springtime wardrobe, we’re drawn to this vibrant pink floral tiered mini for the 2026 season. Everything about it – from the color story to the split neck and pleated skirt – demands attention, and it has ours — was $100, now $65

10. Office Attire: We’d prefer spring to be an exclusive slideshow of afternoons at wineries, bottomless brunches, and garden strolls, but for those of us traveling into the office, put the florals on hold in favor of this sharp cutaway suit dress from Halogen. We’re especially obsessed with the front button closure and spread collar for a modern take on what was once stiff work attire — was $109, now $49

11. Something Nautical: It’s never too early to channel the beachy prep aesthetic, right? Don this sola striped long-sleeve minidress until your dream of a shore vacation can become a reality — was $138, now $92

12. Trendy Slip: Slip dresses are making their way back into our warm-weather wardrobes, and we think this bias-cut satin number from Steve Madden is the quintessential option for any formal events (a wedding, perhaps) you may have on the calendar — was $119, now $54

13. Dainty Florals: It’s basically sacrilegious not to have a floral dress in your spring wardrobe, so if you need to fill the flowery gap, this flutter-sleeve maxi dress by Vince Camuto is printed with pretty blooms and would make a great addition to any closet — was $109, now $65

14. Athletic Essential: Sporty dresses that are versatile enough to take you from the court to a sit-down lunch are wardrobe wins. This vivid white option from Spanx is no exception; it’s sweat-wicking for exercise and features sleek, stylistic details like a front-zip closure and jewel neck to keep up appearances after the game — was $138, now $83

15. Day Play: We realize this dress has been literally dubbed the dinner party dress, but aside from its food-themed design, its miniature A-line skirt, ivory-and-pink color story and playful, stringy straps lean more toward a garden party than a dimly lit restaurant — was $138, now $92
