North Carolina high school counselor arrested for allegedly sending X-rated pics to students

A former high school counselor was arrested Thursday after allegedly sending salacious snaps of herself to several students.

North Carolina educator 37-year-old Lesli Lambeth Bryant was slapped with two counts of indecent liberties and second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for offenses that allegedly took place in November 2025, The News of Orange County reported.

According to the arrest warrant, the victims were students at Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC. where Bryant previously worked as a counselor, per the outlet.

After Orange County School officials were tipped off about Bryant’s alleged sexual wrongdoing, she was placed on paid suspension and the Sheriff’s Office notified the school resource officer on June 4, according to The News & Observer.

Bryant resigned from her position on June 12, spokesperson for the school system Jazmine Kilpatrick told the outlet.

The former counselor turned herself into police on Thursday morning after a warrant was issued for her arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.

During a court appearance on Thursday, prosecutors argued that the allegations involved Bryant “communicating with them and to them on Snapchat, including sending photos and videos of herself” that contained sexually explicit content, the outlet reported.

In an official statement to The News of Orange County, Orange County Schools said the school system “takes matters involving the safety and well-being of students extremely seriously,” adding that “the district immediately reviewed and placed [Bryant] on suspension with pay,” after being alerted to the allegations of misconduct.

“As this is now a criminal matter, Orange County Schools will defer questions regarding the investigation and any charges to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office,” the statement continued.

“Orange County Schools remains committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.”

As of Thursday, Bryant was being held at the Orange County Detention Center.

The judge ordered a $50,000 secured bond, the outlet reported.

The Post reached out to Orange County Schools and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
