Oprah’s bizarre Vegas residency at the Sphere came to her in a daydream

Hit the showers, Bono — Oprah’s in town.

Las Vegas has seen some genuinely strange spectacles over the decades — but nothing quite like what Oprah Winfrey is reportedly cooking up under a 366-foot-tall LED dome.

The media mogul is set to take over Sin City’s fabled Sphere next spring — for a bizarre, two-hour mass enlightenment spectacle called “Oprah Winfrey’s AHA.”

Fans who pay hundreds of dollars per ticket will be treated to a visual, spiritual journey involving music, poetry, cutting-edge visuals — and even an appearance by a group of Buddhist monks.

The idea for the production — “a call to wonder, to joy, and the ultimate AHA moment,” Winfrey explained — came from an “aha!” moment of her own, right inside the gargantuan venue.

“‘AHA’ is a dream that came to me as I sat in awe at the opening night of U2 at the Sphere, mesmerized by the possibilities of how the space could be used as a tool for creating greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connection to each other,” Winfrey said.

Her mid-show epiphany, apparently, inspired her to cook up the world’s most technologically engineered group therapy session.

Set to run the weekend of April 2 through April 4 with just four shows, the ostensibly enlightening extravaganza will feature Winfrey live — alongside a wildly eclectic lineup.

Sharing the mega-stage with the Queen of Talk will be seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier, celebrated poet Ocean Vuong, folk artist and meditative soundscape-tress Ajeet, booming gospel veteran Wintley Phipps, and more.

Just in case the lineup with a 160,000-square-foot 16K wraparound screen in the gambling capital wasn’t zen enough? She’s also bringing in a group of Thich Nhat Hanh-following monks.

In a promo video, Winfrey gets cosmic.

“When you were born, a light came into the world that had never existed before,” Winfrey said. “Yours.”

“The odds of you being here, of being exactly who you are, experts say are 1 in 400 trillion,” she said. “We all enter this life carrying that light. But in a world that never stops moving, it’s easy sometimes to forget. “Your light may dim, but it never goes out. It’s just waiting for you to reignite it.”

Rekindling your spark won’t come cheap, however — tickets to the concert-cum-motivational seminar meets spiritual awakening meets Vegas fever dream will be extremely expensive.

General tickets reportedly range from $145 to $395 each and go on sale September 25. But true believers can shell out serious money for high-roller spiritual treatment. VIP packages through Vibee are already live, with the “Enhanced AHA Experience Package” starting at an eye-watering $1,200 per person.

Despite the Oprah-centric branding, Winfrey insists AHA isn’t supposed to be about her.

Instead, she wants the thousands of strangers enveloped by the Sphere’s enormous screen and lighting effects to experience “the ginormity of the universe” and to turn their attention inward — if they can catch their breath between the musical performances, poetry readings and a slew of special guests.
