Police respond to incident at Melbourne railway station

Police are responding to reports of a fatal incident at Mernda railway station in Melbourne’s north-east.

The incident happened about 6pm on Friday, and passersby reported one person was dead.

Victoria Police is yet to provide further information about the circumstances of the incident, which State Emergency Service crews are also attending to.
