Police have charged a man for allegedly using stolen fuel cards to make off with more than a million dollars worth of diesel during a year-long crime spree.
The 48-year-old man from Greenbank, south-west of Brisbane, allegedly used the cards at unmanned diesel depots at Parkinson, Bundamba and Karawatha to steal $1.1 million worth of fuel between December 2024 and December 2025.
Police searched a Greenbank property on March 24, where they allegedly found evidence of the thefts.
Body-worn camera footage provided by QPS showed large tanks stacked on top of each other on what appeared to be a rural property.
The 48-year-old is now facing multiple charges, including fraud to the value of at least $100,000 and two counts of receiving tainted property.
He was remanded in custody after he appeared at the Richlands Magistrates Court on March 25, and is expected to front the court again in May.
