A rotting 58-year-old man’s body was found with a knife sticking out of his neck inside a Brooklyn home Sunday afternoon, according to cops and sources.
Police were summoned to the home for a wellness check when they made the gruesome discovery around 12:41 p.m. inside a brownstone at 716 Madison St. in Bed-Stuy, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear how long he was there but sources said his body was “highly decomposed” with a knife protruding from his neck.
The man’s cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said.
His identity has yet to be released pending family notification.
The grisly find comes weeks after a putrid odor led cops to discovering a man’s decaying corpse in a Staten Island home.
