Sherrone Moore’s Accuser Paige Shiver Reveals DMs He Sent Her While His Wife Was Pregnant

Paige Shiver, who accused former University of Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore of breaking into her apartment after his firing, has revealed more details about their years-long relationship.

Shiver, 32, said her relationship with Moore, 40, transitioned from professional to romantic in January 2022, when she was an intern and Moore was the team’s co-offensive coordinator. 

“He originally would direct message me on Instagram,” Shiver said during an interview on ABC’s Nightline, which aired on Friday, April 24. “He started reacting to my Stories with a fire emoji.”

Shiver alleges Moore — who has been married to his wife, Kelli Moore, since July 2015 — would message her asking questions like “What’s your drink of choice?” and “What alcohol do you like?”

“He was always coming down to my desk, always talking to me,” Shiver said. 

Shiver claimed she did not know Sherrone was married during the “first month” of their relationship. 

“At the time, I didn’t know his wife was pregnant,” Shiver said. “When I found out, I confronted him and he said, ‘Yes, you know, it is what it is. But we’re still getting a divorce.’”

Sherrone and Kelli never got divorced and share three daughters: Shiloh, born in 2019, Solei, born in 2022, and Sadie, born in 2025.

Shiver claimed she became pregnant with Sherrone’s baby in May 2022, but was forced to end the pregnancy after the baby was diagnosed with Pompe disease, a genetic disorder that weakens muscle strength.

“Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wouldn’t be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” Shiver said on Nightline.

Shiver said she wanted to keep the baby and Sherrone was aware of the pregnancy, allegedly telling her to “do what’s right for your body.”

Sherrone was later arrested in December 2025 and charged with felony home invasion, misdemeanor stalking and misdemeanor breaking and entering, all of which were ultimately dropped. 

During a court appearance in March, Sherrone pleaded no contest to new misdemeanor charges of malicious use of a telecommunications device in context of a domestic relationship and trespassing.

The former head coach was sentenced to 18 months probation on April 14, avoiding any jail time. 

Judge J. Cedric Simpson also demanded Sherrone have absolutely no contact with Shiver, as well as prohibiting him from using “alcohol, recreational marijuana or any illegal substance.”

In a statement after Sherrone’s sentencing, Shiver said the ruling “does not reflect the seriousness of Moore’s unlawful entry and aggressive attack.”

“For several years, the University of Michigan’s leadership looked the other way and allowed Ms. Shiver to be exploited and abused by Moore,” the statement alleged. “The University enabled Moore and others in positions of authority within the Athletic Department, fostered the ongoing and escalating abuse, and advanced a culture that cared not about the hostile environment but instead was focused only on winning football games.”
