Straphangers thrown onto NYC subway platform, punched, and robbed in latest string of transit attacks

A maniac threw a stranger onto a Bronx subway platform and kicked him as he tried to hoist himself to safety in the latest terrifying incident in a string of attacks on the same subway line.

An unidentified man approached a 39-year-old straphanger on the northbound 6 train platform at the East 149 Street subway station just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and threw him onto the train’s roadbed, according to the NYPD.

He proceeded to viciously kick the male victim back down to the roadbed as he attempted to lift himself to the platform, cops added.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was brought to a local hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

Photos released by the department captured the unhinged shover near a subway turnstile in a black sweatshirt, black sweats, and black sneakers.

Just over a week earlier, on April 19, a 35-year-old man was approached and punched by two unidentified individuals on the northbound 6 train platform at the Hunts Point Avenue station just before midnight, according to police.

The two thugs followed the victim as he fled to a nearby McDonald’s, where they continued to slug him in the head and snatched his backpack, cops said.

The two individuals fled the scene and were last seen entering a building on Hoe Avenue near 163rd Street, authorities added.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

Photos showed at least one of the men police are searching for in a subway station wearing a blueish-gray hoodie.

No arrests have been made in either incident, and anyone with information regarding the separate attacks is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
