Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s defeat of France in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War on May 5, 1862.
It’s a time to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage in the United States, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with food and drinks — especially in the rare instance where Cinco de Mayo lands on Taco Tuesday.
Here are some of the restaurants where you can snag a deal for Cinco de Mayo.
7-Eleven
7-Eleven, Inc. is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with limited-time menu offers. On May 5, Laredo Taco Company restaurants are rolling out made-to-order Tex-Mex favorites, celebratory drinks and catering options at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide.
The lineup includes BOGO Free Burritos, $6 Walking Taco, $3 frozen margaritas, and $3 off beer at participating stores.
California Tortilla
On Tuesday, May 5, guests at California Tortilla can snag a free taco coupon to use toward their next order with any purchase. Plus, any purchase connected to a Burrito Elito rewards account will enter the guest to win grand prizes, including theme park tickets and free burritos for a year.
Chipotle
Fans of Chipotle can score free chips and guac or free chips and queso blanco this Cinco de Mayo. The offer is available exclusively the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca using code “CINCO26.”
Chuy’s
Guests dining in at Chuy’s will get the opportunity to take part in multiple Cinco de Mayo deals, including $6 regular or $9 grande signature House ‘Ritas made with freshly squeezed lime juice, $1 off Mexican Beers and $5 Queso Bowls served all day.
Those who order Grande ‘Ritas will get their drink in a keepsake giveaway cup, while supplies last. ‘Ritas can be served frozen or on the rocks. Queso Bowls include Chuy’s signature recipe, Compuesto, Lil’ Chuy Gooey or the Boom-Boom Pow.
Del Taco
From May 5 through May 8, Del Taco is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with $5 Epic Burritos, giving guests an easy and affordable way to join in on the holiday fun.
Dog Haus
The Hays Margarita at Dog Haus is flowing this Cinco de Mayo, and when May 6 comes around, Dog Haus will be there to help cute the holiday “hair of the dog” with a Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos Borracho Burrito.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is debuting their new Viva Los Tacos limited-time menu, available through June 14. The menu includes a Honey Chipotle Shrimp Taco, Fiery Citrus Carnitas Taco, Grilled Chicken Elote Bowl and Mexican Candy Margarita.
On May 5, guests can also get $10 Half Yard Margs and tacos starting at $2.50. And on May 6, Fuzzy’s will be offering rewards members free chips and queso with purchase.
Gopuff
Gopuff FAM members will get access to 40% off fiesta favorites, such as Siete Tortilla Chips, Snak Club Tajin Mango Rings, Mega Chamoy Cotton Candy, Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix and more. The assortment will vary by location, and the offer lasts through May 10.
The Greene Turtle
Head to The Greene Turtle for drinks specials for Cinco de Mayo, including $8 Perfect Patrón Margaritas, $6 People’s Margaritas and Spicy Cucumber Margaritas, $4 Classic Margaritas and Coronas, plus a $6 Dip Sampler.

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is bringing the fiesta with live DJs, exciting giveaways, fun games and more, depending on the location. Plus, Lime Fresh is making its fan-favorite Birria Tacos a permanent menu item starting May 5, priced at $9.
Margaritas Mexican Restaurant
On Cinco de Mayo, the first 50 guests to arrive at each Margaritas location will get a new themed T-shirt. Plus, any purchase of a taco will come with a “Get a Taco Coupon,” which is valid for use from May 6 through June 30.
Nothing Bundt Cakes
On May 5, Bundtastic Rewards members can earn 50 bonus points when they purchase any Fiesta Large Cake or Fiesta Bundtinis. Guests can also get the limited-time Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl for a sweet addition to the spread.
Sheetz
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, Sheetz is bringing back its fan-favorite Crunchy Tacos and the addition of other Mexican-style food items. Crunchy Tacos will return for a limited time at all Sheetz locations, where guests can get six for $6. The menu also adds the new Jalapeño Fryz and the return of the Western Burrito.
Surcheros
Surcheros is bringing the fiesta this Cinco de Mayo. Rewards Members can earn 5x points on all purchases all day on Cinco de Mayo. This means guests will get 50 points per $1 spent instead of the usual 10.
Tabañero
Spice up your Cinco de Mayo celebration at Tabañero. On Tuesday, May 5, fans can enjoy 40% off sitewide — no code needed.
Taco Bell via Grubhub
Grubhub+ members can get a free Crunchwrap Supreme when they spend $20+ at Taco Bell. For those who aren’t yet members, new members can join for just 99 cents per month for six months during the month of May.
Taco Cabana
