Flames have engulfed a truck, sending a huge tower of thick smoke billowing into the air this morning, and grinding traffic in Perth’s east to a halt.
Fire crews rushed to the intersection of Great Eastern and Great Southern highways in Mundaring around 1am this morning, to reports of a truck towing two semi trailers alight on the road.
Police say the blaze started on one of the trailer brakes, with the driver pulling over and getting out uninjured.
The truck was carrying metal cylinders.
