Two teenage boys have been arrested and charged after another teen was allegedly brutally bashed in a Geelong alleyway last week.

Police confirmed on Tuesday the two boys had been tracked down and charged after the alleged assault near Little Malop and James street around 5.30pm last Wednesday.

Video footage that has since emerged of the incident showed one boy cornered as several others hurled abuse at him, demanding he “lick [their] foot” as they continued physically assaulting him.

The footage, obtained by Nine News, shows the group kicking the boy and demanding he get on the ground.

“Get down on your f—ing legs, lick it,” one of the group yells. “Take it like a man.”

Police said officers on patrol responded quickly to the incident and spoke to two boys who were still at the scene.

Geelong police, along with members of the city’s crime reduction team and youth tasking unit, arrested three 14-year-old boys on Monday night.

Two of the boys were charged with affray, riotous behaviour and using threatening words in a public place. They were released on bail to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

“The third teen was interviewed in relation to outstanding matters, and it was determined he was not involved in the incident on 1 April,” police said.

“Officers are aware of the remaining youths alleged to be involved in the incident and are expected to make further arrests in the near future.

“Police continue to investigate and appeal for any teens involved to come forward to investigators.”

Police said officers would patrol the Little Malop Street area “as a priority, particularly during high foot traffic periods”.

“On top of daily patrols, police conduct regular operations to target public order, weapons and retail theft,” the force said.

Anyone with further information or footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
