Video. Ceuta’s crisis ‘has not been completely solved’, says far-right MEP

Marion Maréchal, an MEP from the European Conservatives and Reformists, believes the European asylum rules “must be reviewed”, as she considers them “too broad”. She said the EU must create a “list of safe countries” from which asylum claims should not be considered.

Maréchal says the mass arrival of migrants in the Spanish city of Ceuta at the end of July “has not been completely solved” and described the influx as a “security threat” to the European Union.
