A 15-year-old boy has been flown by ambulance helicopter to Randwick Children’s Hospital after his e-bike collided with a car in Sydney’s northern suburbs.

Paramedics were called to Abbott Road in North Curl Curl about 4.45pm on Monday following reports of the incident.

The crew arrived in a NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter and found the boy in a serious but stable condition. He was treated for lower leg injuries.

Witnesses told Channel Nine that the car appeared to veer towards the rider in a potential incident of road rage, but police have not confirmed the cause of the collision.

Police said a crime scene had been established and investigations were ongoing.

The driver of the car was unharmed.

A 17-year-old girl is fighting for life after crashing her motorbike in Sydney’s northwest overnight.

Paramedics arrived at Mount Carmel Drive in Box Hill just after midnight on Monday and found the learner rider with serious injuries. She was treated and taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The news of the two bike crashes emerged after an illegal ride-out of a group of trail bike riders over the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Sunday – the third mass ride-out along the iconic landmark this year.

The group of about two dozen riders were captured on video doing wheelies and tricks and weaving among traffic on the iconic landmark.

On February 3, about 40 e-bike and motorcycle riders descended on the bridge during peak hour, then abruptly turned back and rode through the CBD. Police announced Strike Force Puma last month to target those responsible for the ride-outs.

The NSW government have also vowed to crack down on illegal e-bikes, with new laws allowing police to seize and destroy modified or overpowered bikes in an attempt to prevent further injuries and fatalities caused by the electric vehicles.

Meanwhile, in an alleged road-rage incident between a car and a group of e-bikes on Sunday, a man was charged with dangerous driving after allegedly crashing his car into an e-bike, after the rider of another e-bike allegedly smashed the back window of the car with a piece of wood.
