Armed police have descended on one of Brisbane’s busiest inner-city streets following a hit-and-run involving a stolen vehicle.
Police responded to reports that a stolen Range Rover had crashed into another car on Queen Street on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver fled the scene.
A man was taken into custody a short time later, with police launching a hunt to locate a second man involved in the incident.
Police could not confirm whether the man arrested was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Nine News said more than a dozen police roamed the block, including floors of a residential building, for an hour.
Police are no longer searching for the second man.
