“I explained [Yates] to her, and [Lindsay] cried and said, ‘How could a mother hurt her children?’ ” Hamp recalled.
Yates killed her children in 2001. She was initially found guilty at a first trial, but the conviction was overturned, and she was found not guilty by reason of insanity at a second trial in 2006.
