Cringeworthy new video shows Jamie Lee Komoroski — the New Jersey woman who drunkenly killed a bride on her wedding day — casually gabbing with cops about her allergies, favorite ice cream and new pet immediately following her arrest three years ago.
Komoroski, now 27, had not a care in the world as she chatted with officers at the Folly Beach Police Department in South Carolina — her sports bra and midriff exposed as she sat with her hands cuffed behind her back.
“I don’t know about you guys but my allergies have been so bad. This pollen has been killing me,” she babbled just before midnight on April 28, 2023, extended police video shows.
“Umm. Well. What’s your guys’ favorite cereal?” she later asked officers.
Komoroski had just fatally mowed down Samantha and Aric Hutchinson as they rode in a golf cart from their picture-perfect wedding — killing the bride instantly and sending the groom flying.
The young woman — who is serving 25 years in prison for the fatal DUI — spent at least a half-hour belligerently whining that she couldn’t talk to her dad and haranguing cops with comments like “No one proved me for s–t for anything.”
But at some point, her attitude shifted and she started buddying up to the same police she’d been harassing.
“Are you Filipino?” she asked one of the officers, who deadpanned back that he wasn’t.
“My sister’s boyfriend is Filipino and Hawaiian and Japanese,” Komoroski merrily replied, before launching into a rambling tale about her own family tree.
“I’m 50% Polish. My dad said he was 100% Polish and I just checked like two years ago ’cause I’m like ‘Nobody’s 100% anything,’” she said, adding that her family call her “the dark sheep” because of her tan skin and hair.
“We had a bunch of bats in our backyard that would like swoop in, and my siblings would be like ‘The bats like to sweep in on people with dark hair,’” she said.
From there, Komoroski went off on local South Carolina real estate, her “hardass” freight broker job where she made “mad money” but quit so that she could “be happy” — and even chatted about her new kitten named Theo and her favorite fast food joints, breakfast cereal and ice cream.
“F–k yes, oh my God, hell yeah, White Castle is such a vibe. McDonald’s is my live or die, forever and forever,” she said, singing the end of the sentence. “I like a good ol’ Big Mac, and a good ol’ 10-piece chicken nugget, and some good ol’ McDonald’s fries. Can’t beat it.”
“There’s so many people that say they hate mint chocolate chip, and I’m like, it’s good,” she rambled. “My favorite personally is soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. But I’m a soft serve girlie.”
“Do you guys like poached eggs? I love poached eggs,” she added. “It’s like a nice soupy little eggy-egg.”
But it didn’t take long for Komoroski to descend into sobs again as she began to complain about wanting to go home and her boyfriend being worried about her.
The then-25-year-old driver was caught on body cam footage begging cops to check on Samantha just after she smashed into their golf cart at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone.
“Is she OK?” Komoroski asked bystanders. “Go check on her!”
Komoroski claimed to cops she just had a beer and a tequila drink before the crash — but her blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit.
Samantha and Aric, 34 and 36, had just left their beachside wedding by golf surrounded by friends and family. The blushing bride was found dead in her wedding dress while Aric survived with a severe brain injury and numerous broken bones.
Two wedding guests on the cart also managed to survive the wreck but suffered severe injuries.
By the time Komoroski finally allowed her blood alcohol content to be tested hours after her arrest, she had more than three-times the legal drinking limit in her system.
Komoroski spent just under a year in jail after her arrest, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison in Dec. 2024 after pleading guilty to felony DUI and causing great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide.
