NYPD officer shot in Brooklyn during confrontation with suspect

A police officer was shot in the leg in Brooklyn on Friday morning, according to police sources.

NYPD officers responded to a report of shots fired in Bedford-Stuyvesant and kicked in the front door of a home on Kosciusko Street, sources said.

People ran out of the house and additional shots were fired, sources said.

One officer suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, according to sources.
