Pedestrian hit and killed by car in Brisbane

A pedestrian has been hit and killed by a car in the suburbs of Brisbane late on Wednesday.

Police were called to reports a 30-year-old man had been struck by a Volkswagen Golf at the intersection of Beaudesert Road and Paradise Road in Acacia Ridge about 6.25pm.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Ambulance Service said four teams were sent to the intersection, where they treated a man with “injuries not compatible with life”.
