A group of teenage girls has been rushed to hospital after a stolen car rolled and crashed into a house in Marsden, south of Brisbane, in the early hours of Monday.
The Hyundai Accent was reported stolen from a property on Stafford Road in Everton Park on Saturday.
About 1.15am on Monday, the car, allegedly driven by a 14-year-old Waterford West girl, rolled several times on a street in Marsden before crashing into a two-storey house on Chambers Flat Road.
The rear passenger – a 14-year-old girl from Logan Central – suffered head injuries and was rushed to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver and a second passenger, a 15-year-old girl also from Waterford, were taken to the same hospital but with minor injuries and in stable conditions.
One of the residents of the home, a 49-year-old man, suffered cuts to his bare feet while trying to help the girls following the crash.
The house suffered significant damage in the crash.
Queensland police did not confirm whether charges would be laid against the driver or passengers but said investigations into the incident were under way.
