A man has died after an alleged assault in a West End park in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Paramedics were called to West End Common – Bunyapa Park on Vulture Street about 1.30am following reports a 66-year-old man had suffered significant head injuries from an alleged assault involving another man.
He was rushed to hospital in a serious condition but died a short time later.
Police were yet to locate the other person involved in the incident and urged anyone with footage or information to come forward.
No charges have been laid.
