Bruce Viles would later be taken to court at the time as the spaghetti, according to the licensing police, was not a “proper meal”. A prominent barrister defended the case pro-bono, the case was won and there were long queues from then on for this cheap meal.”
With all these missives regarding hospitality governance making things difficult for the punter, it’s gratifying to see a bit of country town goodwill, like that experienced by John Brown of Kianga: “In 1987 we stayed at the Black Stump Hotel Trunkey Creek. Four of us, including a non-drinker, drank them out of red wine (two bottles). Asking for port, the reply was ‘do you want 5s or 7s (ounces)?’ followed by ‘Could you scrape your plates into the dog’s bowl?’ We had a great stay – memorable – including an invitation to the 21st birthday party in the hall across the road. Very fond memories.”
Jim Dewar of Davistown reports that “No records were ratified at the World Humanoid Robot Games (C8) because of the suspicion that all times were wand assisted.”

She so cleverly highlights either the profound significance, or the humorous (or ludicrous) essence of her chosen subject. Your cartoons amount to a synthesis of the history of the first quarter of the 21st Century (or longer) and would be great published as a book. What will we do without you, Cathy?”
